Dave and his son, Walt Holton, are Registered Master Builders with reputations of integrity and honesty in the building industry. Betty Holton markets and designs homes, and she has been Dave's support from the ground up. Together, they build homes that are not only beautiful, but homes that exceed the industry energy standards by 30% to 40%. Each home is independently tested and certified to be Energy Star® rated, resulting in the Idaho Department of Water Resources naming Holton Homes the Energy Star® Builder of the Year 2003. SIR Custom Homes has been building homes in North Idaho since 2003. Our goal is to help people enjoy a better life by providing quality homes at an exceptional value. When you buy from us, you are not just getting a house from some company named SIR Custom Homes. You are buying a home from SIR - Scott, Ian and Ron. We personally take great pride in every home we build. We stand 100% by each of one our homes because we know everything that went into to them. The story of how we came together is quite unusual. Seven years ago, Ian hired his uncle in law Ron to finish the basement of his previous house. When Ron was finishing up the job, he casually mentioned to Ian and his friend Scott that they should try building homes together. A couple years later, we finally decided to put this idea into action. Scott was working in the computer software industry before starting SIR Custom Homes. He is a graduate of UCLA and has extensive knowledge in real estate and finance. Ian has lived in Idaho for 10 years and currently resides in Hayden. He owned and managed business his entire life. Ron has worked as a general contractor for over 20 years. He has built and remodeled homes all over the United States including Aspen, Colorado, Beverly Hills, California and West Palm Beach, Florida. We are a licensed builder in the state of Idaho and a member of the North Idaho Building Contractors Association (NIBCA). Also, we are an Energy Star approved builder and we have built the only Energy Star certified home in Kootenai County. Our houses were on the cover of the Homes and Land Magazine of Northern Idaho in January 2006 and November 2006.
