Welcome to Sustainable Design Group. We are here to guide you through the process of building or renovating your home or light commercial building and to make it as healthy, energy efficient and harmonious with the environment as possible.
Our mission since 1973 has been to design and build buildings that were in complete harmony and balance with nature and self sufficient in energy, water, waste and food production. We have the technology to harness the solar, wind and biological cycles to provide a complete life support system for people through integrated design that mimics nature. By working with the forces of nature and the resources of the place, we can provide all the basic life support functions of the home including: healthy shelter, clean water, waste processing, hot water, cooking, heating, cooling and electricity. When integrated with a garden and or a green house, the home can also provide food and income.
Through my work in Africa, Mexico, the Caribbean and China, I have had the opportunity to design sustainable communities that achieve a high degree of self sufficiency. In the United States, I apply all the same principals tempered only by the limitations of the codes and the economics of the project.

TerraLogos is a unique, full-service architecture firm dedicated to the practice of sustainable design or "green" architecture. Through our practice, we are committed to leading the design and construction industry toward a more sustainable future. Founded in 2002, TerraLogos is certified with the State of Maryland as a Woman Owned Business (WEB). Our company serves on several public advisory boards, including the Baltimore City Council's Green Building Task Force, a group established to help Baltimore City institute green building practices and programs.

In conjunction with the Maryland Department of Energy, we created green design guidelines for multi-family housing. This collaboration lead to our development of the Green Rowhouse Solution©, which applies the best green design practices to Baltimore rowhouse and townhouse renovations. Designed for both homeowners and developers, each Solution is customized to fit the individual rehab project. This design package offers the best combination of fine design, green attributes, functionality, and cost benefits at a very affordable price.
